James William Moore is a photographer who has studio practices in San Jose and Palm Springs.  He is working on his Bachelor of Fine Art in Photography from San Jose State University, preparing for his BFA Show in the spring of 2020.  Moore's work delves into moods and emotions to create surreal cinematic images through photography. The tools he uses range from medium format film and plastic cameras to stories brought to life by way of a digital SLR and iPhone.  His use of old and new technologies as a means of blending his photography into a story brings his imagery to life by combining fact and fantasy.  Mr. Moore has had the honor of having his artwork appear in both solo and group shows in Los Angeles, Palm Springs, San Francisco, and San Jose.  He has also had one of his images from his Obon series be included in a public art display in San Jose’s Japantown.
